Today’s soup is oyster and cabbage soup. I used soy milk to make it healthier. I also added bacon to give the soup some umami. Bacon and oyster go very well together. There is a lot of cabbage in this soup, so it fills my stomach as well. Here are some tips on how to make it. 1) First, fry the ingredients in a pan. 2) After adding the soy milk, turn the heat to low and simmer. Be careful not to let the soy milk boil or it will separate.


 

Ingredients for 1 serving

  1. 3.5 oz (100g) oyster
  2. 1 oz (30g) bacon
  3. 1 oz (30g) brown mushroom
  4. 2.5 oz (70g) cabbage
  5. 2 tsp olive oil
  6. 3/5 cup (150ml) water
  7. 3/5 cup (150ml) soy milk
  8. 1 tsp consomme soup stock
  9. a little pepper
  1. Cut the bacon in half so that it is about 1.5 inches (3 cm) long. Then, cut it into 1/8 inch (3 mm) thick. Next, Cut the cabbage in half first. It should be about 2 inches (5cm) long. Then, cut the cabbage into 1/2 inch (12 mm) thick pieces. Cut the brown mushroom into pieces about 1/8 inch (3 mm) thick. Sprinkle oysters with a little salt, rub gently, and rinse with water to remove dirt. Put the oysters in a colander and drain.

2. Add olive oil to the pan. The heat is medium. Add bacon, oysters, cabbage and mushrooms and saute until browned. If the ingredients are fried thoroughly, less time is needed for boiling.

3. When the ingredients are cooked, add water and bring to a boil with middle heat. Bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes.

4. After about 5 minutes, add soy milk, consommé soup stock, and black pepper. Reduce heat to low and keep warm, but do not boil. Be careful not to let the soy milk boil as it will separate. When the soup is warm, it is ready.
